Hoopenburg Pinot Noir 2017

Some of the best Pinot Noir find their origins in coastal regions . Youthful perfume with intricate spice and tertiary notes. Fresh violet petals, dark cherry and grape stem spice play with the darker, more brooding and earthy characters of wood bark and truffles.

Other | The origin of this 100% Pinot Noir stems from cool-climated Elgin. Harvesting took place at a balling of 23°. The fragile berries were gently fermented for 13 days on the skin, where-after pressing and ageing in French oak barrels followed for 12 months. Finally the wine was racked into a tank. No fining and very coarse filtration was done (to preserve the fruit) before bottling. |
